Submit content to the EHL

Visitors may freely submit their own articles, maps, photos of European countries, videos, essays, and articles to be published on the European Heritage Library. You may even submit the content or articles of another author or website, so long as you give full credit to that source. The EHL editors may edit your submissions in spelling, images used, or portions that are deemed illogical or insufficiently substantiated with evidence. There are few criteria for content submission that must be followed, though requirements are flexible:

1) the article or content must be entirely your work. If it is not your work, you must give full citation to the source, or get permission from the author or website first.
2) articles must be well-written with correct grammar and spelling. If you have difficulty with English, feel free to ask for assistance or send an unfinished copy for editing.
3) written articles must be intelligent, logical, and academic, complete with citations and footnotes.
4) no self-promoting or website-promoting articles solely to aggregate web traffic.
5) articles must use sources when necesary. Use discretion in order to be read by our readers as a respectable work. Articles that have no factual basis will be rejected.
6) articles must be at least 200 words. There is no maximum for words.
7) pictures must be totally relevant to the subject and may in no cases be sexual or inappropriate.
8) no right-wing or left-wing extremist authors, sources, or perspective will be accepted.

To submit your produced (or another's) video, photo gallery, essay, article, or map to be published on the EHL, either fill out the form below or email your work to us for review. Your email address will NOT be redistributed or published. Be sure to include your NAME, sources used (if any), and a PERSONAL DESCRIPTION (especially credentials and area of expertise) to be published on your article page. If your work is truly impressive, it may even appear on the main page links. If you are uncertain of what work would be appropriate, do not hesitate to email with questions.
